   Nice video and I do agree with the sentiment, and not just in the PR world, about the massive amount of irrelevant material that exists everywhere – mostly brought about by the ability to self-publish online.
   However, I think this campaign should be more collaborative including journalists who habitually encourage the distribution of irrelevant material just to get a conscientious PR (who is trying to have a conversation about the potential interest of a story) off the phone…As is always the case there are some excellent PRs and some excellent journalists. It’s the less diligent in our industry that let the reputation down.

   I like the idea but don’t think education alone can make this happen fast enough. Threw a post together myself today with a quick idea that might make a real difference and act as a catalyst to reducing this phenomenon.
